The film tax incentive guide that reads your script

Most incentive lists show you a headline percentage. The Real Sheet models what you'd actually bank — qualifying spend, minimums, caps, and local cost of shooting — then ranks jurisdictions by estimated dollar value for your project.

How it works

1. Paste your material

Drop in your script, treatment, or synopsis. The finder reads genre, story settings, and production type the same way our full analysis does — nothing you paste is stored or used to train AI.

2. It sizes your production

From the material (and your optional budget and preferred location), it estimates the spend that would actually qualify in each jurisdiction — not just the headline rate.

3. It models the real rebate

Every programme in our database carries its true effective rate range, minimum-spend thresholds, caps, uplifts, and a cost-of-shooting multiplier. A 30% credit somewhere expensive can net less than 22% somewhere cheap — we show the difference.

4. You get a ranked shortlist

Up to eight jurisdictions ranked by estimated dollar value, each with the effective rate, qualifying spend, net cost after incentive, a confidence score, a plain-English rationale, and a link to the official film office so you can verify.

Example output

For a $1.5M indie drama with rural settings, this is what a ranked match looks like.

Colombia — Law 1556 Audiovisual Investment Certificate

Ranked #1 · 40% cash rebate on qualifying local spend

90% confidence

Qualifying spend

$511,500

Est. incentive value

$191,813

Net cost after rebate

$633,188

Why it fits: rural drama settings match Colombian locations, local crew and services costs run well below US rates, and the production clears the minimum-spend threshold comfortably. The 40% certificate applies to local goods and services with no per-project cap.

Every result links to the official film commission or programme page so you can verify terms before you plan around them.
